Alert to all lovers of groove and roots music! A shower of echoes and a reverb avalanche for October 2023 : the Dub Shepherds announce the release of « Night and Day, » their third album.

Assisted by a beautiful dream team of musicians, supported by some microphone experts, the duo juggles with rhythms and colors to deliver a solid album of modern reggae made in France. The Dub Shepherds’ recipe, the one that builds their reputation, is this raw sound very inspired by Black Ark / Lee Scratch Perry, the typical falsetto voice of Jolly Joseph, a large dose of madness, and a sharpened mixing skill acquired through years of experience. On « Night and Day, » the Dub Shepherds go further and surprise by seeking influences beyond the borders of reggae. Funky atmosphere, jazzy influences, touches of eroticism, and crooner ambiance coexist with bouncing Rockers, deep Rubadub, Dub, and militant One Drop. The alloy is as unique as it is mastered.

On this new album, Jolly Joseph and Doctor Charty offer twelve tracks that resemble them, twelve sincere and committed tracks. The duo asserts its uniqueness with this reggae sound rich in influences; a sound produced and played with style!
